Premium Grey Polyester Tufting Cloth (215×300) | The Rugged Upgrade for Heavy Pressure
Take your tufting projects to the next level with our professional-grade Grey Polyester Tufting Cloth. While our standard primary tufting cloth is excellent for everyday projects, this polyester version is specifically engineered as a heavy-duty, rugged alternative. If you tend to apply a lot of pressure with your electric tufting gun causing standard white fabrics to stretch out of shape, this ultra-durable cloth is the perfect solution.
Designed to easily withstand the high-velocity, repeated impact of both cut-pile and loop-pile machines, this fabric offers unparalleled durability and stability under tension. The modern grey color also provides an excellent visual contrast with your yarn, helping you spot details and track colors more accurately while you work.
215 x 300 cm – 6.45 square meters
Enough for 6-11 medium sized rugs, or one extra-large 2 x 3 m rug
Why Choose Rugged Polyester?
Unlike traditional cotton-blend fabrics, our 100% industrial polyester weave provides exceptional tensile strength. It stretches incredibly tight across your tufting frame and stays tight. This means no more mid-project sagging, warping, or accidental punctures, even during long, high-density tufting sessions.
Key Features & Specifications:
- Extra-Large Dimensions: 215 x 300 cm (6.45 m²) | Our biggest polyester cut. Tuft a single rug up to 2 x 3 metres with margin to spare, or lock in multiple smaller designs on one frame.
- Fabric Weight: 260 g/m² – a substantial, dense weave that holds tension without thinning out under heavy tufting.
- Weave Density: 15 warp x 15 weft threads per inch, giving 14 x 14 = 196 tuftable holes per square inch – tight enough to lock loops firmly, open enough for smooth needle penetration.
- Heavy-Duty Material: 100% industrial-strength polyester for maximum resistance against over-stretching, tears, and fraying.
- High Visual Contrast: Sleek grey backdrop makes tracking your design lines and bright yarn colors easier on the eyes.
- Gun Compatibility: Fully optimized for the AK-V, AK-1H, AK-1N, and all other standard cut-and-loop tufting machines.
- Clean Edges: Neatly cut and ready to stretch tightly onto your carpet gripper strips or frame clamps.
Pro Tufting Tips for Best Results:
- Stretch it tight: Pull the fabric as drum-tight as possible onto your frame. Because it is polyester, you can pull it exceptionally tight without worrying about ripping the edges.
- Lean into it: Don’t hold back. This cloth is designed for firm, consistent pressure from your tufting gun to achieve clean, high-density loops every time.
