How much wool does a rug need
Wool use depends on the size of your design and how tall you set the pile. Taller, denser pile uses more yarn per square metre, so a small sample uses far less than a full floor rug. Planning colours by area before you start saves ordering again halfway through.
More length per cone
Our wool is spun finer than the yarn many suppliers stock. The finer 837 tex spin gives around 20% more length per cone than the common 1000 tex yarn, so a single 500g cone covers more of your design. Both cones weigh the same; ours simply runs longer, which means fewer cone changes and better value across a large piece.
Choosing your colours
Most makers start with a few core neutrals, then add saturated accents as their designs get bolder. To see the shades in person before committing, order a sample book first. It shows every colour on real wool, which is more reliable than judging from a screen.
