This guide will help you set up your AK-1N Duo tufting machine with the correct basic settings.
1. Adjusting the Top and Bottom Rods
For optimal performance, ensure the following measurements:
- Top Rod: 5.2 cm (measured from one threaded nut to the other threaded nut)
- Bottom Rod: 4.3 cm (measured from one threaded nut to the other threaded nut)
2. Setting the Needle Extension
The needle should extend 1.1 cm when fully extended. This is measured when the bottom rod is pulled back to its furthest point (referred to as the 6 o’clock position).
3. Additional Checks
- Ensure all screws are securely fastened after adjustments.
- Check that the machine operates smoothly without excessive resistance.
- Lubricate moving parts if necessary to maintain optimal performance.
Your tufting machine is now configured for basic use. If you experience any issues, refer to the manufacturer’s troubleshooting guide or reach out for support.
